Halloween 2011

Halloween was so much fun this year! Jac really got into it and loved all the Halloween dinners and snacks I made this year. Some of our dinners included jack o lantern meatloaf, mummy pizzas, jello worms, dinner in a pumpkin, spider deviled eggs, mummy dogs, and a couple more fun things like that. Jac is old enough to have an opinion on her costume so she really wanted to be a kitty. My sister gave me this great idea for Boe and he was a rodeo clown. We got so many compliments on his costume! I wore a skeleton shirt and Trav also dressed up as a rodeo clown so he could match Boe :)

We just had the kids paint their pumpkins since I really don't trust them too much with a knife yet :) They thought it was the greatest thing ever! Boe thought it was more fun to paint his belly though and once Jac saw us laughing at him she thought it would be a good idea to paint hers too. Silly kids!!

The Friday before Halloween our ward had a trunk or treat that we went to. Trav had this great idea to take the horse trailer down and make a spook alley for the kids to walk through before they got candy. It was so much fun! We didn't make it too scary since there would be so many little kids but most kids loved it and came back to go through it over and over. I just realized all the pics of the inside didnt turn out too good because it was dark but on the inside it had strobe lights, black lights, lots of balloons they had to walk through, and a few hanging halloween decorations. Jac thought it was so fun to get candy and Boe caught on pretty quick too but was sad he had to put the candy in the bag instead of eating it. HE carried his bag the whole night and wouldn't let go of it for nothing!

On Halloween we went trick or treating at Travs office and the kids were so excited to go there! Seriously it is one of their favorite places to go, Trav is trying to figure out why :) That night we went to our of our friends house and it was lots of fun! We had a yummy dinner and hung out for a while then went trick or treating. Boe was such a trooper! He walked almost the entire way and carried his treat bucket the entire time. By the end he kept saying heavy, heavy but we couldn't touch it without him freaking out. After we left the party we went to our friend Jeffs house and the kids got spoiled! He gave Jac a big box of nerds and she was in heaven! We were standing at his door talking a while and Jac kept ringing the doorbell and saying trick or treat cuz she knew Jeff would give her candy every time she said it :)

It was such a fun Halloween and Jac is already asking when it is time to go trick or treating again :) I guess our big bowl of candy isn't enough :)
