Valentines Day was so much fun this year!! I absolutely have kids (especially Jacie) who get so into every holiday and loves celebrating as much as I do :) For like a week leading up to V-Day Jac would be asking how many more days till we get to party :)
Jac had lots of fun making V-Day crafts, going to parties, and of course making sugar cookies. Boe sure liked to put frosting and sprinkles on a cookie then lick it off and put more frosting and sprinkles and Jac had a blast decorating them!
One of my favorite parts of holidays is thinking of fun food to serve the kids! I totally forgot to take a pic of breakfast but we has pink heart shaped pancakes and pink milk. The kids thought it was so cool! Then for lunch we had heart shaped quesadillas, red lunch meat (pepperonis) and oranges. I swear if you cut food into cool shapes it makes the food taste a million times better according to my kids :)
After Trav got home from work we decided to give the kids their presents and we sent them on a scavenger hunt to find them. Jac thought it was the funnest thing in the world! She was so excited when she found a clue and figured out where to look next. That was almost as fun as getting a present for her :) Boe just had fun being crazy and running after her! They each got a small box of chocolate and a present, The Lion King for Boe and the game Cootie for Jac. Jac is so into playing games so this was a perfect present for her and we have probably played it a million times since V-day it seems :)
After the scavenger hunt we had a candlelight dinner :) The kids thought it was so cool to eat by 'baby campfires' For dinner we had pink layered jello, shrimp, tortellini with pink Alfredo sauce, and garlic bread. It was so much fun!! After dinner we went on a family date to Dairy Queen for ice cream. Romantic huh :) We had a great V-day and hope you all did too!
